Porsche Cars Australia today launched a premium car rental service, known as Porsche Drive Rental. Online bookings are now open, with the first loans due to start from next week.
The local introduction of the long-established Porsche Drive Rental service will give Australians access to selected Porsche models for short-term use. It’s ideal for people who want casual access to a Porsche sports car or the chance to experience the race of their dreams.
Porsche Drive Rental is making its introduction in Australia to respond to changing customer preferences and the trend towards digital, flexible and individual user choices. This includes the provision of vehicles for shorter periods.
“Porsche Drive Rental is the latest example of our bringing innovative products to the Australian market,” said Daniel Schmollinger, Managing Director and CEO of Porsche Cars Australia.
“This pilot program in Melbourne will give us great insight into how we will scale this offering in Australia in the years to come.”
The Australian launch of the program will offer access to several exclusive latest-model Porsche sports cars, including the 911 Carrera 4S, 718 Boxster S and all-electric Taycan 4S, with the test drive taking place at the Porsche Center in Melbourne.
A dedicated Porsche Drive Rental valet will be on hand to assist program customers, who can reserve their preferred Porsche model online by visiting porsche.com.au/drive
Once users have created their customer profile, they can choose their rental period and their preferred Porsche model. Then, all that remains is to pick up and return your car on the scheduled dates. Program clients can book for a day, a weekend or a week.
To be tested over a six-month period, Porsche Drive Rental is a popular option in the company’s list of mobility services. Porsche’s premium car rental service started in Germany in 2014 and is available in Europe, North America and Japan.
