On-demand, app-based car rental company Kyte is launching another location, this time bringing its service to Brooklyn, NY. The service that delivers cars to people’s doors was also launched in Manhattan just four months ago in May. Brooklyn offer begins Friday, October 1.
The service will now be available to Brooklyn residents in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn Heights, Bushwick, Carroll Gardens, Clinton Hill, Crown Heights, Fort Greene, Greenpoint, Ocean Hill, Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Red Hook, Weeksville, Williamsburg and Windsor Terrace.
“After our successful launch in Manhattan in May, we looked forward to the day when more New Yorkers can drive Kyte,” said Spencer Smith, launch manager at Kyte. “With the city’s commitment to efficient and sustainable transportation, Brooklyn is the perfect place to expand our network to help people get cars more easily. ”
Along with the news of Brooklyn’s expansion, Kyte also launched an overhaul of its iOS booking experience, implementing a new design system across all platforms. New features include enhanced in-app support chat, dark mode capability, service area maps, and improved live notification updates. Kyte will soon launch on Android.
Kyte offers on-demand cars delivered to customers for as long as they need them – sometimes bypassing long in-person lines and paperwork and other issues that can arise with traditional car rental contracts.
Kyte is offering a 15% discount to new Brooklyn customers. First-time users can apply promo code “HELLOBROOKLYN” at checkout on drivekyte.com until 10/31.
Kyte’s expansion to Brooklyn marks the company’s 10th major city launch in the United States.
